Gum Contouring
At times, gums may rest too low or too high on the teeth, resulting in self-consciousness. Gum contouring can remove excess gum tissue that covers a large portion of your teeth or can help with gum recession.

Thanks to modern laser dentistry and local anesthetics, gum contouring can be accurately performed with less discomfort. Your skilled dentist will show you how much gum will be removed and will explain how she will reshape them to look natural. Post-treatment, we offer top tips to keep your gums healthy and looking great.

Porcelain Veneers
Do you suffer from damaged, discolored, or broken teeth? Veneers could be the ideal solution for you. These thin porcelain shells are placed over the front of your teeth to cover any imperfections and leave you with a beautiful white smile.

Veneers are placed by our fully-trained dentists who have a real eye for detail. First, the tooth is prepared by eliminating the damaged surface structure. The custom-made veneer is then cemented to the prepared tooth and cleaned to give you a flawless smile.

Teeth Whitening
Today everyone wants to have a bright, white smile. This is the primary reason why teeth whitening is one of the most popular cosmetic procedures we perform. At our office, we offer both in-house and take-home whitening systems.

In-house: Our highly-trained staff isolates and treats your teeth with special gel and uses a light to brighten your teeth.

Take Home: Our team supplies you with a set of trays, which you fill with the special whitening gel and wear for a prescribed time.

Both methods are very effective and leave you with wonderful results.

SureSmile® Aligners
Many people would like to correct their orthodontic problems but do not like the idea of wearing traditional metal braces. This is why SureSmile® Aligners are so effective. These custom-fit, removable trays gradually move your teeth into position without anyone even noticing.

SureSmile® Aligners involve a series of discreet trays to move your teeth into their ideal position – leaving you with a healthy, straight smile. This treatment is fast, effective, and completely metal-free!

Root Canals
Root canal therapy (endodontics) is needed when the nerve inside your tooth (pulp) becomes infected. This can lead to inflammation and pain. There are multiple causes for this type of infection, such as excessive tooth decay or a cracked or broken tooth. Dr. Kollia and Dr. Fu can treat this tooth with root canal therapy and restore its natural function.

A root canal is performed by cleaning the affected tooth and removing all the infected areas. Next, we fill the cleaned space with biocompatible cement to ensure the complete sealing of the root canals. Your tooth will require a crown that we can fabricate the same day with Cerec® technology.

Composite Restorations
Also know as fillings, composite restorations use a natural-colored (white) resin to repair a damaged tooth. Gone are the days of amalgam (metal) fillings, which are unsightly and can cause health problems. Our modern restorations are stronger, more discreet, and very durable.

These restorations are primarily used when your tooth structure has become compromised due to decay or trauma. In this instance, your dentist removes any decay and fills the missing structure with a composite material. This material is shaped to mimic your natural tooth, leaving you with a restored smile.

Crowns & Bridges
Dental crowns are recommended for damaged, decayed, or broken teeth. They are also commonly used to restore a tooth after a root canal or dental implant.

Modern crowns are made of porcelain for increased strength, durability, and beauty. Using CEREC®, they can be placed in a single visit. The process involves eliminating the damaged tooth structure, creating a custom-made crown, and then cementing the crown into place.

Crowns are also used when a dental bridge is required. A bridge is a great solution for those with a missing tooth and is placed using adjacent teeth. The crowns are placed on either side of the gap where the new tooth will be positioned. They are used to anchor the synthetic tooth into place and provide you with a fully restored smile.

Extractions
At times, a tooth may become severely damaged or so decayed that it is beyond repair. In this instance, an extraction may be the best course of action. During an extraction, your caring dentist will numb the surrounding area and gently remove the remaining tooth. After this, the area is cleaned and cared for to avoid infection.

Once the treatment is over, Dr. Kollia or Dr. Fu will advise you on the next step, which may be a dental implant or a bridge.

Dentures
If you have lost multiple teeth or all of your natural teeth, dentures can be used to restore your smile. Dentures can improve not only your health but your appearance too. This modern restorative treatment prevents the sagging of facial muscles, allows you to regain functionality when you eat and speak, and prevents further dental issues from developing.

Dentures come in two forms: partial and full. Partial dentures are used when only a few teeth are missing, whereas full dentures are for when all the teeth are missing. Modern dentures are durable, comfortable, and extremely functional, and there are options for implant-supported dentures for enhanced stability. They are designed to look like your natural teeth and leave you with a beautiful smile.

Dental Implants
Missing one or multiple teeth can have a real impact on your day-to-day life. Dental implants are often the ideal treatment to get your smile back to full health. Implants consist of small posts that replicate the root of your missing tooth. These biocompatible roots are designed to fuse to your jaw bone and become the base for a beautiful restoration.

Once the implant is fixed into place, your dentist places a custom-made connector and crown on top of the implant. This results in a beautiful and fully functional smile.

Without a doubt, dental implants result in excellent stability, strength, and longevity, so you can smile again with confidence.
